Cookie policy

This site works without cookies. The only cookies it uses are for measuring how the site is used, and those are set only if you agree.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Websites use cookies to remember things between pages or visits. Browsers can also store small amounts of information in other ways, such as local storage, and the same rules apply to those.
What this site stores
| Name | What it is for | Set when | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cf-analytics-consent (local storage) | Remembers whether you allowed or refused analytics, so that we do not keep asking | When you make a choice | One year |
_ga | Google Analytics: tells one visitor from another | Only if you allow analytics | Up to two years |
_ga_ followed by letters and numbers | Google Analytics: keeps a visit together | Only if you allow analytics | Up to two years |
ph_ followed by letters and numbers | PostHog: tells one visitor from another and keeps a visit together | Only if you allow analytics | One year |
The site sets nothing else. The fonts and the scripts that make the pages work are served from this site, so viewing a page does not contact any other company unless you allow analytics.
Analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use two tools. Google Analytics shows which pages are read, how visitors find the site and whether the forms work; its advertising features are switched off. PostHog, hosted in the European Union, shows the same and can also replay how a page was used (where the mouse moved, what was clicked and scrolled) so that we can see where the site is confusing. Anything typed into a form is masked in those replays. We use both for measurement only, and not to build profiles or show advertisements.
If you choose “No thanks”, or make no choice, neither tool is loaded and none of their cookies are set.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as “No thanks” and do not show the question.
Changing your mind
Use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page to see the question again. If you switch analytics off, the site removes the analytics cookies it set.
You can also remove or block cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking them does not stop this site from working.
